Dearest Seekers,
Happy Friday!
This week, I’ve been minding my mind—watching my thoughts with the intensity of a dog chasing a squirrel: up a tree, around corners, no pause. Because I’m in a deep transformation phase, I thought, better get my head in the game too! I’ll admit, I caught some pretty low-vibe thoughts creeping in during the wee hours…
Last Sunday, I went to The Agape service with Reverend Michael Beckwith. One of the core messages he preached (with his whole body and soul, voice shaking with the roof and choir soaring) was something all my favorite teachers say:
In the present moment, there is no fear, no doubt, no worry.
And I thought—Gosh darn it - I’m in!
It’s the most simple thing ever.
When fear or worry creeps in—“It’s never going to work out,” “I can’t afford it,” “I’m such a ding dong”—these thoughts can feel like the worst kind of bad elevator music: always on, barely noticed, but seriously lowering the vibe. Unless you’re on mind patrol, they run wild, like inherited psychic furniture. Hand-me-downs: gaudy, outdated, and stubborn.
And often, they get loudest when you’re up-leveling—when your whole system is upgrading. That resistance? It’s the old lineage piping up: Great-great-granny Violet doesn’t like change, thank you very much. But no matter where they come from, what matters is that you catch them.
As my beloved Ram Dass and Eckhart Tolle (and every Buddhist on earth) would say:
If you catch the thought as it’s thinking itself, you can have words with it—and return to the ever-expanding now.
In this present moment, everything is open, limitless, divine. Especially when you’re plugged into your Source—God, the Divine, the Sun—there’s no space for outdated inner chatter.
Why does this matter? Because your thoughts are literally shaping your brain, your field, your future. What you put out is what you attract. So being here now really is the way. Unless you’d rather live in Aunt Violet’s reruns.
“Change your mind, change your reality,” as our friend Joe Dispenza says.
So dear seekers, on Monday night, we’ll anchor into presence together with a little mindfulness before we breathe. But first, I invite you to share your ugliest psychic furniture, your inherited limiting beliefs, your mental hand-me-downs. We’ll celebrate their efforts in our brief diss party and then we will toss them all into the cauldron and send them down to the molten core of the Earth—where they’ll rise anew like a white lotus.
I am looking forward to this one!
With love,
