Dearest Seekers,
I’ve been deeply purified by the air, sun, sea, and energy of Greece—and that renewal continues now in London, walking among the trees. It’s delicious to recharge at a cellular level with the most basic of elements. The simplicity of island life was profoundly healing and deeply needed. And now I will gently bring that feeling home and weave it into my life.
While chaos is undeniably part of the human experience on Earth, it’s still difficult to accept the chaos in America as normal—or as mine. And yet, it is. It belongs to me, to all of us, as part of Earth’s larger karmic cycles.
This short video I took on Paros Island seemed to offer a kind of portal—capturing something I struggle to express in words. It holds the purity and clarity of the energy I felt there. Each morning, a sliver of light would escape through a tiny gap in the shutter. I would lie still, watching it dance and oscillate on the wall. It felt like a space in between—a portal where things are communicated, and truths revealed. Perhaps it was a modern-day version of the crack in the wall through which Pyramus and Thisbe once whispered?
I came to call it The Light of Paros. For now, I’m letting that light guide me.

In this global moment of upheaval and transformation, I’m more aware than ever: what you look for is what you find. Notice what you’re drawn to—and if it lifts you up, lean into it. Systems will continue to collapse. One way to meet these shifts is to stay close to whatever animates and uplifts your spirit.
My inner compass and directives have never felt more activated or focused.
Today, as I walked along the tree-lined river, I listened to a song from my younger days— Hymn of the Big Wheel, by Massive Attack—and it struck me as just as relevant now as it was then. A perfect reflection of this moment.
Enjoy:
See you Monday, July 21st—topic to be revealed.
With love,

The Tree Portal
LYRICS
The big wheel keeps on turning
On a simple line day by day
The earth spins on its axis
One man struggle while another relaxes
There's a hole in my soul like a cavity
Seems like the world is out to gather just by gravity
The wheel keeps turning the sky's rearranging
Look my son the weather is changing
I'd like to feel that you could be free
Look up at the blue skies beneath a new tree
Sometime again
You'll turn green and the sea turns red
My son I said the power of axis over my head
The big wheel keeps on turning
On a simple line day by day
The earth spins on its axis
One man struggle while another relaxes
We sang about the sun and danced among the trees
And we listened to the whisper of the city on the breeze
Will you cry in the most in a lead-free zone
Down within the shadows where the factories drone
On the surface of the wheel they build another town
And so the green come tumbling down
Yes close your eyes and hold me tight
And i'll show you sunset sometime again
The big wheel keeps on turning
On a simple line day by day
The earth spins on its axis
One man struggle while another relaxes
As a child's silent prayer my hope hides in disguise
While satellites and cameras watch from the skies
An acid drop of rain recycled from the sea
It washed away my shadow burnt a hole in me
And all the king's men cannot put it back again
But the ghetto sun will nurture life
And mend my soul sometime again
The big wheel keeps on turning
On a simple line day by day
The earth spins on its axis
One man struggle while another relaxes
